Future business minds Carney Academy A
group of fourth grade students under the leadership of teacher Annette
Morton, put their entrepreneurial imaginations on display at Carney
Academy. The students were challenged to come up with a product to
sell and make a profit of at least $50. The Entrepreneurial Fair was
conducted in the same manner as an adult business Expo. Each student
was required to explain his product to the groups that stopped by his
or her booth. In addition, they also shared some of the other projects
they worked on during the school year: a research paper on a Olympic
Gold Medal winning athlete, a poem, a sculpture, graphs and a comic
portrayal of the athlete. It was successful on all accounts.
Recognition was given to all of the 17 students participating. Aisis -
